This Coconut Poppy Seed Cake recipe uses Goodman’s Natural Coconut Extract to create a moist and delicious cake with lots of coconut flavor!
Coconut Poppy Seed Cake
Lots of coconut flavor in this one!
Ingredients
- 8 oz cake mix
- 1 tsp Goodman's Natural Coconut Extract
- 2 boxes instant coconut cream pudding
- ½ tsp Goodman's Natural Coconut Extract
- 8 oz Dream Whip or Cool Whip
- ½ tsp Goodman's Natural Coconut Extract
- shredded coconut optional
Instructions
- Prepare cake mix as directed.
- Add poppy seeds and 1 tsp Goodman's Coconut Flavor to batter.
- Bake, as usual, in a 9 x 13 pan sprayed with nonstick spray.
- Remove from oven and let cool.
- Prepare pudding using ½ cup less milk than box instructions require for each box.
- Add ½ tsp Goodman's Coconut Flavor to pudding.
- Refrigerate.
- Spread thickened pudding over cooled cake.
- Top with Dream Whip or Cool Whip flavored with ½ tsp Goodman's Coconut Flavor.
Optional:
- Toast ½ cup shredded coconut in oven until light brown.
- Sprinkle on top of whipped topping.
