Made In The USA for Nearly a Century
Goodman Manufacturing Company, Inc. began in 1909 when John William (JW) Goodman purchased a vanilla formula that was superior to what was available in stores. It was a double-strength formula that wouldn’t freeze or bake out. At the time, similar vanilla was marketed by a competitor door-to-door. However, JW wanted to sell his product to grocery stores.
In 1927 JW moved his family to Carthage Missouri and started producing vanilla and selling it to grocery stores. Over the years Goodman’s has developed a wide variety of flavors, becoming a “full-line” flavoring and extract manufacturer. As the business grew, they moved from making flavorings in their basement to a production facility in Carthage Missouri on Old Route 66.

Old Fashioned Goodness
In 2003 Robert Goodman, founder JW’s grandson, and his wife Connie sold the business to Mike and Michelle Kimrey.
In 2010 the Kimrey’s moved the production plant to Marshfield Missouri, on Old Route 66.
The Kimrey’s work in the plant every day carrying on the high-quality products and excellent customer service on which the company was founded.
Together with their hard working team, including JW’s great grandson, plus the expertise of trusted food brokers, they have grown distribution across the USA.
Goodman’s is not in all fifty states yet, but they are working on it!
Environmentally Friendly
Goodman’s helps the environment in many ways. Most importantly, our products do not have individual boxes.
We also repurpose and recycle many materials including cardboard trays – used by local green houses, and plastic drums – used by the school and city maintenance departments.
Goodman’s invests in the community by utilizing many local businesses and supporting local non-profit organizations with donations of products and time.

Goodman products are found in grocery stores, natural food stores, and retail discount stores throughout the United States.
