Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup light brown sugar, packed
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon Goodman’s Original Vanilla Double Strength
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon cornstarch
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup plain M&M’s (plus more for topping)
- ½ cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips (plus more for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Add the egg and Goodman’s Original Vanilla Double Strength, mixing on low until combined.
- Add the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Stir with a spatula just until the dough comes together.
- Fold in the M&M’s and mini chocolate chips.
- Scoop about 2 tablespoons of dough per cookie and place on the prepared baking sheet, spacing a few inches apart.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes, until the edges are just set and lightly golden. Do not overbake.
- As soon as the cookies come out of the oven, gently press a few extra M&M’s and chocolate chips into the tops.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
