M&M Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup light brown sugar, packed
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon Goodman’s Original Vanilla Double Strength
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup plain M&M’s (plus more for topping)
  • ½ cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips (plus more for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  3. Add the egg and Goodman’s Original Vanilla Double Strength, mixing on low until combined.
  4. Add the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Stir with a spatula just until the dough comes together.
  5. Fold in the M&M’s and mini chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop about 2 tablespoons of dough per cookie and place on the prepared baking sheet, spacing a few inches apart.
  7. Bake for 8–10 minutes, until the edges are just set and lightly golden. Do not overbake.
  8. As soon as the cookies come out of the oven, gently press a few extra M&M’s and chocolate chips into the tops.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
