Goodman’s Classic Pecan Pie

Goodman’s Classic Pecan Pie recipe uses Goodman’s Pure Vanilla Extract to create a tasty treat that melts in your mouth…almost like custard.

Ingredients

  •  1 cup light or dark corn syrup
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 ½ tsp Goodman’s Pure Vanilla Extract
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ cups pecans (halves or coarsely chopped)
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked deep-dish pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Place a rimmed baking sheet on the center rack while the oven preheats.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together corn syrup, eggs, sugar, melted butter, Goodman’s Pure Vanilla Extract, and salt until smooth.

  3. Stir in pecans.

  4. Pour filling into the pie crust.

  5. Place the pie on the preheated baking sheet and bake for 60–70 minutes. If crust edges begin to brown too quickly, cover with foil.

  6. Pie is done when the center reaches 200°F, or when the top springs back lightly when tapped.

  7. Cool for at least 2 hours before slicing.
